Turkey Dental Clinics!

Yeah its brutal, someone in my family has it done last year in the UK and they looked like they had been beaten up. They would never do it again.
Yikes!

I took one for the team during my teenage rugby days and ended up with a crown, then a metal pin with cap which eventually disintegrated, so had to opt for the implant in my late twenties. It was the canine next to the right incisor (no a premolar). I have zero interest in ever repeating the exercise and try to keep my gob in tip top shape these days.

I'm in the process of having an implant, lower incisor.Had to have an infected tooth removed and waited a few months for gum to heal and settle.
Beginning of November Dentist drilled hole in jaw and put inplant in.Inserted some stuff in there to help it take(not always necessary dependant on patient).Screwed in a cap as placeholder.Stitched up.Given 2 forms of antibiotics.
10 days later stiches removed, vertually no swelling.
Have to go back 7th Jan see how it looks,if alright beginning Feb will be having the crown made up.Hoping March/April time will be finished.Total cost £2500.It's expensive for me but worth it,especially with it being at the front.Hate the toothless grin look.
My options were doing nothing and have a gap,a false tooth/plate,a bridge or an implant.Took me less than 5 seconds to choose an implant.
I would never go abroad for this treatment because as somebody else said if it goes wrong it could be a nightmare.

I looked in to it a while back, they effectively grind your teeth to stumps and cover the little leftovers with veneers, which is why so many people look like walking piano keys. Mine aren't bad enough to justify that yet thankfully.

That's called a crown

An implant is something completely different; they pull the old tooth out

I have a full dental bridge on top and bottom jaw with 6 implants on each.
These where done in two places near me in Dublin.

Top jaw was like hell to go through but bottom jaw was much less painful as I went to a different place.

I wouldn't risk going abroad even with the savings as if there are any issues like i had you would be better at home than some hotel.

Op seeing as its only a couple of implants you need it should be much less hassle.
It takes months for the bone to fuse with the implant but in my case top jaw was just left to heal while the the bottom jaw had temporary crowns after 3 days.
Both jaws took between 11-14 months.

If OP is 100% wanting implants then taking a look at Poland could be an option, probably on a par with UK in quality but likely much cheaper, also a much shorter flight. Me, I'd probably just get dentures.

Most dentists in this country are absolute *****.

They dont care about you, just about making money.

I'd like to see some large scale Turkey Dentist thing going, like a package holiday thing for the masses, put all the dentists here out of business.

Cheers, £2500 seems decent for one (if decent is the word) - I don't understand the difference in price from different practices, it's not even close prices with some. They are all doing the same thing... yeah, maybe some have better bedside manner and aftercare, including appointments. May I ask where you had it done?

Private Dentist on the Fylde coast.Been with him over 35 years.I trust him.On the price thing some may differ because of materials used maybe? Zirconia or Titanium? And then crown material? Maybe I’m wrong.I know my Dentist has 3 skiing holidays a year and drives a Porsche. But don’t they all?

I'm 20 miles south of Birmingham, just looked at my dentists private price list, lists implants 'from £2800' so either yours are complicated or your dentists are expensive...

IDH dental hospital in Antalya, I spent months researching, 6 hour surgery 7 implants, sinus lift, 2 root fillings, 2 extractions all new crowns. Pain free just uncomfortable, will always go there for any work

I've had four done now, cost is about £3k each. The price varies depending on if you need things like socket restoration, which is normally done if they are extracting an old root. My most recent implant failed when the crown was applied so had to be removed as it had become "mobile". The cost of removing and then replacing 6 months later was included in the original fee, something I doubt would be the case in Turkey.

About £800 of the cost was the crown which also included digital impressions, which are allegedly more accurate than the old moulded versions.

This is the guy that did my most recent one, think he generally practices around Manchester areas, I had it done in Chester.
