I am a little embarrassed and confused. :o

So I am currently cooking the turkey. Never done one before (I hate them anyway I wanted to cook goose instead) It is a big bugger as there is twelve people here and I dont want to ask them.

It said on the label that it will take around three and a half hours to cook. The problem is that it has only been in for two hours forty five, but the button cooking device thing it came with has popped out.

Is it ready?

You might have cooked it at too higher temperature? Baste it and cover it up and leave it for a little longer. You don't want to poison the other 12 people...

poke something into the flesh , if the juices run clear it's ok

you could also cut into it and have a look to se if it is cooked

Either that bird isn't that big else that time seems well under what I'd expect?
(seems to equate to gas mk 3 & bear in mind I've never used electric/fan & our turkeys are usually around the 10 kilo mk) As posted, all you can do is test it now & again till juices clear.
