Who's done Turkey?

Thinking about doing it with a few mates next year. Current thinking is flying to Istanbul Thursday, and staying somewhere in or near the city. Then hiring a car and driving to the track Fri, Sat and Sun. Fly home Monday.

Unless there is anywhere near the track to stay or camp?

Any other suggestions?

Also suggestions for where to sit? Grandstand by the last few corners looks good, although not covered so potential for a sunburn special?

I look dta it this year as it was so cheap. But by the time you add flights and accommodation on. Your looking at normal prices.
Also turkey isn't confirmed yet, still arguing over money.

And with teams saying they won't do 21 races. It's likely to be canned IMO.

Isn't Spa, supposed to be the cheapest GP to goto (including all costs)? Why don't you go to Spa, instead?

Going this year for the 3rd time in 4 years. Fancy something new.

Its also not the cheapest. It never has been really. Tickets are comparable to Silverstone. The difference is you only need GA.

Well, if it does happen, what would people suggest?

(maybe I should start a Hockenheim thread just in case :))

I think this is the best bet for us, if Turkey doesn't go ahead. Would be nice to have a day or two before to look around Istanbul.

Out of interest, which is the cheapest non-UK based GP to go to, including travel, hotels, tickets, etc, for Saturday & Sunday?

Anybody know?

And if so, what sort of costs are involved.
