Turn off CUDA core Nvidia?.

Should turning off Cuda GPU improve performance in games?. I have been trying a lot of different things this past week as you might no. I have a 670GTX and been trying different options in the settings from letting the application decide to altering my self. I noticed a lot of improvement when letting the app decide in the NVidia control panel. Today I have decided for the fun of it to turn cuda off using the programme settings in the game profile. I no X-Rebirth is still a lot buggy but turning cuda off improved it even more. I don't want to sound stupid or paranoid but was just wondering if turning this on off could help or its just me wish full thinking?. Sorry to nag you all the time. .

Disabling Cuda cores in the control panel should not have any effect in game's performance. There is other software/programming tools that will take advantage of enabled Cuda cores but not games afaik.

The only thing I can think off is maybe if you disable Cuda it might disable PhysX which might lead to any physics being calculated on the CPU instead of the GPU which might increase frame rates. I am just speculating though.

If that were the case, that would decrease framerates, dramatically

Unless it reverted to software PhysX.
