Turn off hardware acceleration in chrome on high end?

Anyone done this? I get stuttering on vids if im hammering my GPU gaming/mining and it seems dumb on an 8700k with a 1080TI HOF 8 Pack lol

Does it make sense to just shut off hardware acceleration?

I had the same problem in chrome when mining. Turning off hardware acceleration stopped all the stuttering, and I haven't noticed any other performance issues either. I don't exactly do anything too heavy with my browser, mind.

not sure why this is unexpected if the mining is soliciting the gpu, can you use the internal intel hd gpu igpu for chrome webgl acceleration ?
(nvidia egpu+igpu laptop I use, permits that)
