OK. First things first - This is a fried 1600 - totally dead - DON'T DO THIS TO A WORKING CPU - DO AS ZEFAN SAYS AND FOLD!
Now, down to work
Tools for the job
1 FRIED CPU (Can be AMD or Intel)
Hammer
Screwdriver
Cordless Drill
8mm Metal Drill Bit
Key Ring
Sand Paper (optional)
Start by using the handle of the screwdriver to "tease" the pins flat on to the baseboard...thus...
Gently work in towards the core so they all lie down in turn - flat. Like this
Next, and you really need to remind yourself at this point that the CPU you are doing this to doesn't work anymore, hammer a reasonably fat nail through the outer edge of the board approx 10mm in.
Those who got good service from their CPU might like to locate the golden triangle point and use that corner - as a mark of respect.
So...
Now all that remains to do is sand off the edges to prevent tearing the trouser pockets...
And Hey Presto! One attractive, fashionable and useful Key Ring.
