Turning down monitor brightness?

Anyone own the VS248H Asus?

For some reason my brightness function is just greyed out on my monitor... I Can't turn damn brightness down and I have NO idea why? anyone got this monitor and can offer some wisdom?

Edit: I Installed a colour profile ages ago if that's any relevance?

Colour profile won't have affected the OSD controls. Have you enabled dynamic contrast ratio as that would cause brightness to be greyed out?

If all else fails do a factory reset in monitor OSD
