I went on two amazing trip to Thailand over the summer and took some stunning photos. Now I'm back and in my plain student room I want to brighten up the place and although it’s nice to look at half naked women I would rather have something more personal.

So.... I want to get some of my holiday snaps blown up and made into a collarge. Is this possible what the best way of going about it. My main concern is that the pics are only 3MP and when blown up the will look grainy and some already have a blur and might get worse upon blowing them up.

Any help would be great.

I recently got an A2 print made from an 8 megapixel image and it was pin sharp. I think you could get away with A3.

8 Megapixels on an SLR (3:2) has about 75% more hoizontal resolution than a 3 megapixel image from a compact camera (4:3).

If you set up a Photobox account, when you upload your photos and select a print size, they give you a score out of 10 for resolution. It's a useful guide.
Thanks for that, have just been looking on photobox. If I want to get a couple on top of each other would it be best to print them first then cut and stick them do you think?
