turning off individual hard drives

hi
i got 3 HD running...2 are quiet, 1 is noisey.
The noisey one is temporary, and i want to turn it off when i sleep and leave the other 2 on for downloading.....
I'm running XP pro.
So within the power management options in Control Panel, it says turn off HDs....but does that turn off all HDs? or only the ones that remain idle?

You could do what I did and disable the individual drive in device manager.
