hi, this might be an odd question but when i turn off my comp it seems to reboot on its own and fires back into life. seems the only way of shutting it down is by holding down the power button a few seconds but have been informed thats not clever to keep doing so. ive recently had to change my graphics card but cant see that having anything to do with it. also tried shutting it down various other ways such as ctrl+alt del. any help?

Have you tried clearing the cmos/resetting the bios?

You may have your power button configured as "Restart" in the Power Plan options.
I had the restart issue, also screen freezing and it was solved by reinstalling the 10.10 drivers as below.
Uninstall the AMD drivers.
Set the computer to standard VGA, reboot.
Remove all ATI / AMD folders from the drives.
Reboot.
Install a new copy of the AMD drivers.
Reboot.
I do not know what graphics card you have but it may be a driver issue. Hope this helps
