Hi All...

I've just got myself a shinny new laptop with Vista Ultimate installed on it.
Is there a option somewhere that I can turn off so that every time I startup Vista wont always ask me for my password??? I'm sure I seen it somewhere the other night but I cant remember where  .
It's starting to get a little bit annoying.
Cheers

I'm positive I found the option so that it just wont ask for the Password in the control panel the other night. I cant remember where It was. I'm still trying to get to grips with the new OS.
I don't really want to remove the Password.

*Boots his PC* *Whoooosh* It sounds like a damn jet engine.

Anyway, after a look around suspect areas and a quick Google, I couldn't find the option, but Vista has some deep menus that need a longer poke around to find.

In XP (Not sure about Vista) type "control userpasswords2" from the run prompt and you can select which account to auto logon with.

removing the password is a ridiculous suggestion, causing very serious security problems.
It's not, and it doesn't. It does cause other problems though:

You can't connect to the PC using an account with no password in Vista - it just doesn't work. File sharing, remote desktop, anything.
