Turning on a PC without a button?

Screwdriver across the mobo contacts, a classic move.

You could probably buy a new switch to go behind the button in the long term. Might be easier to buy a new case though.

EDIT

The board is a Asus A8N Sli Premium thing.

Screwdriver didnt work... hmmpf.

It worked when I owned that bored, check you are shorting the right pins, maybe try another driver or a paper clip, all the switch does is short out those 2 pins for a second, so putting a screwdriver across them to complete the circuit should have the same effect.
