Turniq Tower Vs Scythe Ninja

I would say for a low airflow fan the ninja, for a high airflow fan the tuniq.
But its hard to find decent review comparing the two.

As mentioned these chips are hot, watercooling is the best option.

My advice is the same, watercooling is best for these CPU's

Really dont fancy going the water cooling route tbh, so any recommendations on air coolers, which are better than my existing scythe ninja?

Phase is the best, water is better than air.

Yes Dave, your right.

I suggested water because the OP is looking at air solutions, But your right Phase is best.

@mtbaker. The Ninja, the Tuniq, U120 + a few more are all very similar performers. The Tuniq being just a little better IMO. It will not really be considered an upgrade from what you currently have, you are already using one of the best air has to offer.

There aren't any, really.
You could try getting a better fan, a case with better airflow, but as far as the heatsink is concerned you won't find anything that will give a noticeable improvement.

Any particualr reason why you dont fancy watercooling?

It can be a good cooling solution and quiet.

Its not that complicated as it may sound.

Its quite expensive and im a bit old school, if aint broke dont fix it :P
Not a fan of watercooling myself so i understand your logic, but it is the only thing better than your current solution.

I'm guessing you're using the stock fan on the ninja?
You could try getting a better fan, or a higher airflow fan if you don't mind the extra noise.

I thought the Stock Fan on Ninja's was supposed to be pretty good? Any recommendations on an alternative? i got some 120 Akasa ultra quite amber fans in my case, which are'nt bad. But i hear the nocturnes are pretty good

The stock fan is pretty good but its not the best you can get. The Noctua is very good, it should deliver more airflow for the same noise level.
I would expect the stock ninja fan to be better than or about the same as the Akasa amber.

However if you don't mind a higher noise level or you have a fan controller so you can adjust it, i recommend you try a zalman or a scythe s-flex 1600rpm, both are capable of low noise levels if you lower the speed (the scythe more so) but they can both deliver a lot more air than the standard ninja fan and the Noctua if you don't mind the extra noise.

Another thing to try is a duct from the ninja to your rear fan, i found this helped my temps. You could also get a better case if your current one doesn't have a top 120mm fan, ducting the ninja to a top 120mm fan is bound to help.

Ducting the front of the ninja to cooler air can help too, you could try ducting it to the front of your case and use something like a scythe karma bay if you don't already have a grill on the front of your case. This should bring in much cooler air to the heatsink.
