Hi all,
I want to try and reconnect with all the music I used to love, but find I just get swamped by all my billions of old mp3s and would rather give physical media a go again.
To which end I dug out my old Project Debut 2 and cheap B-Tech BT26 preamp from 11 years of storage.
Unfortunately the Debut needs a new power supply, new anti skate weight and new stylus before I can even test how it's working, which will run about £40-70 depending on whether I go for an ortofon or thakker stylus. It seems it's been transported at least twice without the tone arm or motor locked down.
I'm half tempted to just put the money towards something new, perhaps with a built in phono stage. Wouldn't be looking at spending a fortune though, maybe up to £200.
Any thoughts ?!
