Turtle Beach headsets, or alternatives

Hi all

I was wanting to get myself a good headset for my ps3, and have heard plenty of great things about Turtle Beaches. It's mainly for night time gaming, as to not wake the family up, as they are fairly light sleepers.

I was looking at the Turtle Beach PX21's as a maximum, as I don't much fancy spending more than £50 on a headset purely for console use.

Any alternatives for a similar price? I'd ideally like to buy from Amazon, as I have a £15 voucher, but obviously if they're £10 cheaper elsewhere I'll save it.

Really? All I hear is feedback and echo's from people who use them, but I don't think you'll find anything else for the price range your looking at.

Not you yet, but I hardly play with you that much, I get feedback off Jake and off Mischief before he was muted indefinately. I think Froco has a set of turtle beaches as well and he echo's a lot too.

It's not all the time, but it's enough to mute them for the evening when it does start happening.

I have the X1 and my other half the X11 and they're very good. X41 is on the way so will have to see how that does!!

Tritton Ax180's are the best you can get circa £50. Have a look around for a pair. I got the 720's last month and am finding them a lot better than the Astro A40's which is funny considering I only paid a ton for them.

The ps3 wireless headset is too expensive, ~£85-90 everywhere and very short stock.

Quite like the sound of the Tritton AX180's. The Turtle Beach PX21's seem to be quite weak, and the P11 lacking some of the better features.

Found the P11 for £28 delivered, so went for that. Debating using my amazon voucher, plus claiming my TCB cashback in amazon vouchers to buy the Turtle Beach DSS amp...
