My kid wanted a headset, so i bought him a Turtle Beach USB headset for his PS3.

However it has on top of the USB, an audio RCA left and right, which I'm struggling to figure out why ?

The headset is plugged in via USB and it works... Didn't get instructions, so trying to work out why you'd need the RCA analogue L & R ?

anyone familiar with PS3 wired headsets?

If its a universal one, i know xbox 360s have RCA out on component connections, so it could be for that. Are they passthrough? as in allows another male connection once it's plugged in? I don't think 360s were smart enough to output sound via usb, but needed it for power.
