I bought these brand new of the Flea Market for £30.
Very Cheap considering they were a great deal more expensive when released a couple of years ago, something like £90.
to be frank i can't stand them, its put me off the brand completely.
Build quality is ok
Sound is better than ok but not great
The mike is a bit crap, people complain they can't hear me that well and when I look at the input bars sure enough its hardly registering my voice.
It has a sound / game profiling thing, it gives you a list of firmware with arbitrary description like "High voice Low In Game" or some crap which if selected will flash to the headset and i cannot tell any difference with any of them.... and some more annoying stuff.
But what really gets me is the system state indicator LED, all if does is flash green to indicate its on, no indication of the batter getting low, all you do get is bleeping in the ear 2 minutes before it dies, if you manage to plug it into to charge before it dies it will die anyway, you have to turn it off and then on again while charging to use it while charging, while charging you get a single red flashing LED, nothing to indicate when its fully charged, in fact Turtle Beach say the light will go off completely at 75% to indicate its ready to use, not at 100% but 75% and who in there right mind indicates ready to use by removing all indicators that its even alive?!?!?!
If you do use it between your guess work if its charged enough to use for a while after a 75% charge and some previous use..... don't whatever you do let it run without any sound for it to process because it will do that for you, it will beep at you constantly to indicate there is no audio to processes and then shut off after a while of doing that.
yep... i cannot stand the thing, its the first and last Turtle Beach headset for me.
