Is it possible to control a Tuya switch remotely with a switch (not a smart phone ) which is connected to the internet via WiFi ?

Would I need an Alexa as well I don't have one or a Google Speaker. I could buy one but seems a bit of an overkill.

You can install the alexa app on your phone from either Google Play store or Apple App store, so you then just have the option of your two phone apps, you can then link a physical switch to the alexa app on your phone since alexa is a cloud provided service anyway.
