My parents TV has died after 10 years, asked me to help them find a replacement, budget is £500, I'm not expecting anything amazing at this price range. The TV will mostly be used for TV and Netflix (1080p), no gaming.
I had a quick look through some stores online and found these two... Samsung UE55AU9000KXXU and Samsung UE50BU8000, no idea what to look for or what brands are decent in todays market, one thing I did notice is that a lot of people are complaining about the sound quality, but that's not an issue in this case as they have a decent set of speakers.
There are some deals in the American store (not sure if its considered as a competitor, so playing it safe.) I've membership in.
