We've just moved into a home where the previous owner had sky (the dish is still on the wall). We had BT at our previous property and intended on moving everything over with us.
There is also a normal TV ariel on the roof however when we plug the BT box into the ariel socket on the wall it reports there are no channels availabile after doing the normal retuning etc. also plugged ariel straight into tv just to be sure.
I know nothing about Sky but is it possible the satellite dish is connected to the wall socket instead of the ariel somewhere in the loft?
