Display is a pioneer LX 5090
Source is a sumvision media player, hdmi out, set to pcm.
Amp is arcam alpha 9 integrated
Speaker is a kef 200 reference

I'm using hdmi to the TV for video and audio, from the audio output RCA into tape loop input 2, then kef is wired left to bass, right to treble/mid. So just one speaker that I want left and right outputting sound.

I am using the tape input as the arcam has a crackly input selector, using the tape loop gets around the problem, so in effect it's a single input, integrated amp. Volume control works and I don't have crackling problem anymore.

One issue is the TV is outputting stereo, the amp is outputting stereo but I want it to be dual mono, so both channels of the amp have summed signal.

I'll be replacing the sumvision box sometime bu unless the new box has a downmix to dual mono I'll have the same problem.

Any ideas?
