Can anyone tell me if this supports WiFi connectivity so I can access local drives connected to my router? It says Wireless: 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n, so I'm guessing so.

Ideally, I want to use this to make my TV a Smart TV to wirelessly watch HD movies.

I'm not sure if I should get the dual or quad core as I'm skeptical if I can actually stream HD movies over a 100mb connection. Better to save a bit of cash?

Quad core would be snappier I'd imagine.

They are wireless devices but you can also plug a network cable in.

There are literally dozens of these generic types of Android TV boxes available. Groupon isn't always the cheapest way to get one either.

Ok, cheers for that.

I bought a Chromecast a few weeks ago and already sold it as I could do the same stuff with my PS4.

The problem with the PS4 is that it doesn't allow for video viewing from a local drive. Pathetic!

So I'm on the lookout for something cheap that can read my local drives using WiFi. Of course, I'd want HD viewing (at the very least 720p) though.

I have a 1GB connection and was wondering if there are any TV boxes that can support a better wireless stream (Wireless AC)?

Like this: Link

Will that allow me to use my 1GB connection using my T-Link Archer C7 router (AC compatible) and it will it be much better compared to just getting a TV box that only supports wireless N?
