as per title, whats the best one to get?

decent interface, EPG and must be easy to use as its for my friend who isnt very PC savvy.

Either USB or PCI. have looked at a few reviews but all the cards have one flaw or another?

If it's for MCE then you don't need to worry about the interface & EPG as MCE will take care of this. The Nova-t is a good card, but as long as your choice supports BDA drivers they're all much the same. Main difference is in the software provided, but you'll be using MCE so this won't matter.

Hav'nt used mine for ages but the one I have is the Hauppauge PVR-350 with single what-ya-call-it. :p

I used that with MCE 2005 and the supplied MCE EPG which was easy to use and set up. I was'nt too impressed with the pic quality mind, but have newer cards improved?
