I am planning on putting a tv card in my sons pc to get rid of a large CRT telly taking up too much space.
Question is, he is wanting a PS3 later in the year for his birthday now will I be able cable it to the TV card to play on the monitor and what cable will I need.
Also the mobo has PCI Express x16 slot(used for graphics card ) ,PCI Express x1 slot (unused) and 3 x PCI slots(2 unused),which is best for a TV card and will the pcie X1 make any difference.
Oh and its a Vista 32bit machine

cheers
Dave

I have 2 compro TV cards, one dual PCI-E and one single PCI, both work fine with Vista x86 (though i think some people have had issues with them).
As for the PS3. I 'think' it will only output RF or HDMI, so unless you have a monitor with HDMI, you will still need a TV of some sort. (I'm not sure).

oh thats a shame was hoping to get rid of the TV
thanks for the info though

judging by that picture there should be some way you can connect up a set. Either using optical or that funny looking AV out... though I don't have one so can't say how it would work.

just looked at the monitor ,one input only ,looks like the telly will have to stay after all.
thanks
