Bought an XFX TV card a couple of years back, but then actually got round to using it. Decided to put some use to it tonight, but before I do, I have a little question.

How much system resources does running a TV card take up? I use my machine mainly for gaming, so if I'm running a game and watching TV at the sametime is the TV card likely to cause me some slow down?

My machine is C2D E6750, OCZ 2GB PC2 6400.

Cheers.

It'll slow down a bit, but not a lot, TV card doesnt use a lot just to play, less than if you were playing a Div X because there is less decoding, or mine certainly didnt anyway. Mine was pinnacle I think, and I had it running on my old Athlon 2500 @ 2.75 system and it didnt really affect gaming

well, the game in question for me was Civ 3, so its pretty easy to watch something else while waiting for the turn to end

Before I went through the hassle of sticking the card in, I searched about for the drivers, and thank god I did. Apparently Nvidia have stopped supporting the card, so it's borked under Vista.

Lovely ...
