Want a TV card for uni.

What exactly is the main difference between these two?

Would you recommend something else?

Do you actually need to plug two cables into the dual one to record something and watch something else at the same time? If so will a splitter work?

Hi you only need 1 cable; be careful as most say "dual tunners" which are actually 1 analog and 1 digital. I would recommend Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD 500 Dual digital google is your best bet to find one as ocuk dont really have the best range on tv cards. that particular card had 70 positive 5 star reviews so should be perfect.

Does anyone know if there are any pci-e x1 tv cards? I just bought this case:

And because of the placement of my only pci slot it would mean the window would be looking right onto the tv card opposed to the graphics card. haha. May sound silly but it would bug me no end!

Can't get it to work :C

I can't get the latest drivers on the website to install so I had to use the old ones on the cd but neither the provided software or media centre will pick up any channels

Don't think it likes windows 7
