Im looking in to getting a tv card for my computer to watch the footy as my tv up stairs doesnt have an aerial and when it did the pic was rubbish.

Im not really sure what im looking for spec wise. It will be only used just occasionally for basic channels. Any recommendations or advice i should know?

Am looking to speed about £40 or less if possible.

Thanks.

The compro dvbt200 is not too bad if your looking for cheap but the software that comes with it is bit poor and has a few signal lost problems when the signal is perfectly fine at 100%, might be best to go with the leadtek on second thoughts as its in deal of the week. :p

You wont get digital without an aerial or likely anything at all.

Yea my brother bought an areal for his stand alone freeview box and got all channels.

That will be the same for Leadtek Winfast DTV1000-T Digital TV Tuner Card ?

Since were same area, he bought a few that were rubish, but this one picked up ALL channels, sky quality picture.

thanks for the info.

this may sound stupid but do i need to connect the tv card to an aerial like a normal tv?....all i want is the basic bbc 1 & 2 itv and channel 4

You can get decent arieals mate.

My bro bought one for £5 and he did a scan, got all channels, all feeeview channels and the picture is the same standard as sky digital.

Depends on how good your reception is in your area.

With the DTV1000T card I got 12 channels with a standard Argos £10 "digital" compatible indoor tabletop aerial but when I drilled an extension from the NTL tv wall outlet through my freaking double glazing window corner all the way upstairs from downstairs :D :D I picked up over 50 channels :p

Are you really going to deny yourself widescreen DVD quality television?!
