TWO digital telly set-top boxes have sent SOS signals to coastguards.

Lifeboats were scrambled as the freak signal from gran Mary Donaldson’s Freeview gadget went out on a wavelength used by ships in distress.

It was picked up 600 miles away by rescue co-ordinators at RAF Kinloss in Scotland, who alerted coastguards near her home in Plymouth, Devon.

Reading that article on The Sun's website is painful, and they're hardly the most reliable source for this kind of news :p

That maybe true but it has happened its been on radio etc wouldnt have interviewed them for nothing. And oftel went to their house aswell i dont see how its painful to read to be honest either. :)
