Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone on here has Telewest TVDrive and if the y have it connected to their TV via a HDMI- DVI lead. I am having trouble getting this to work and the company that I bought the cable from have said they have sold 100's of these cables and the only problem they have had is from people with TVDrive. They have sent me two replacments within 2 days so good service but still no picture.

If you have got it connected with a HDMi-DVI lead where did you get it from and does it work ok?

Thanks for the help

Can't answer your question but just wondered how you are finding TVDrive......as I am on my 2nd box and still not satisfied :(

Hi mate

First box would freeze in menu's and would not open Teleport.

SD PQ is poor compared to my Freeview box.........using HDMI didn't improve things either.

Just had second box fitted today......no lock ups but PQ is still not as good as through Freeview :(

Hi

Just to say the Telewest engineer came out today and it seems that it is a dodgey connection. They are replacing the box on Tuesday but i still think it the cable.

After some playing around with the cable the enginner has got it working ok-just as long as the cable doesn't get moved.

I have to say that I have noticed a big improvment in picture quality via HD even on the standard stuff-much better picture than i was getting via the scart.

I hope you manage to get your problems sorted out

Another engineer is coming out on Monday to take a look at the PQ problem I have.

I doubt anymore can be done but its worth a look.

Be interested to know how you go on mate.

P.S..........out of interest what TV you using with the TVDrive?

Nice one.

When I viewed SD tv through HDMI I got a slightly darker picture with a little noise.

Not what I expected at all :(

I've got a HDMI-DVI lead and it works perfectly (except the picture shift issues which are being fixed soon) picture quailty is better than the old box, I used to get slight ghosting (only around faces for some reason) but I dont have any of those problems now I'm running the right resolution.

So you dont use the standard HDMI cable supplied by Telewest?
