Hi, my 22'' Technika LCD tv (stop laughing) died which means I now have to buy a monitor which ive put off for so long, I just dont know wether to go 120hz or 1440p. Im looking at the clearence stock and hav taken a fancy to these 2:

I just really use my pc for gaming and the web. Im tempted by the 1440p screen, any likely problems running games at that res on a 670? The monitor will be getting ordered tomorrow, thanks.

All depends on what your use is, when you game what genre are you playing most? If its fps games mostly you may encounter pixel lag with 1440p ips/pls panels and 120hz may be of more benefit, if you more of a casual gamer and play a bit of everything - like a lot, you may be more impressed and get better use out of a high resolution monitor, I opted for the latter and got myself the asus pb278q, great monitor and visuals look stunning, and I went from a 720p tv, as for your 670 im not sure but i'd expect it to play most games at good quality settings, my 7950 with o/c seems to be doing the job for me. Sorry to hear your tv gave up btw, sucks when tech decides to die.

I ended up with the same conclusion, 120hz would be wasted on me for the little ammount of competitive fps I play, your choice looks to be well made and I wish you all the best with it :)
