TV On My Mac

Hey, Ive just moved into a student house at uni and I was wondering if there is anyway I can watch live TV through my mac? I have seen the usb aerials you can get for PC's and i'm just wondering what the best would be for Mac and what would give me the most channels etc

You could try Zattoo which is a free application to let you watch local TV channels. You may be able avoid having to apply for a TV license if you use the application

Elgato TV is what I would suggest for TV on a Mac http://www.elgato.com/elgato/int/mainmenu/home.en.html

If you are watching programmes as they are being shown on TV from other services, for example Channel 4 or ITV, then you will need to be covered by a valid TV Licence. If you are watching these services at home you will be covered by your existing TV Licence.

Elgato EyeTV as has already been mentioned and you will need a TV license.

This is also awesome free app and has a mac and pc version: http://www.livestation.com/

It has channels from all over the world, including cable/satellite channels and is free.

I absolutely love it. I love the interface and the speed seems to be fine.

The only one minor thing I would like to change is to be able to delete the default channels you don't want. Not sure if this is possible, but I couldn't find a way to do it. I know its probably because they may be sponsoring the project? but its not a major issue.
