I’m building a new PC for my daughter and want to set it up as a media centre PC with the capability of receiving analogue and digital TV, including Sky freeview and subscription channels. I also want to be able to record and playback TV programmes in the same was as a Sky + box does. Has anybody got any advice on what PCI card will do this as well as software I might need. I’ve been reading about the Hauppauge range of TV cards, has anybody got any experience of using these or advice on other good products.

Thanks

The BlackGold BGT3540 6 in 1 TV card looks like the one you need. It has a dual analogue, dual digital and dual satellite tuners.

I don't really know anything about receiving sky's subscription channels.
I would go and ask the question on AVForums and in the TV card section. There are a quite a few people who know a lot about doing this.
