tv out issues

i have a radeon 9500 pro (old card) and it has tv out
when i plug the video cable into the back and plug it into scart on my tv, i get a blank screen on the tv... do i need to enable it or something?

Yup - it's in the display setup somewhere. There should be a picture of a TV and you can click in on or off. Can't remember where exactly, but it's in there somewhere

yea reboot your machine when its setup, and also, ensure its set to composite output, not component, otherwise u will see the world of black and white!"

i am using catalyst control sentre 6.6 and i cant find it!!!

Is it a Hydravision setting within the control panel? It's been a while since I had an ATI card but iirc that is where your multi display options lurk.

ok i enabled the tv out in catalyst control centre, but what i get on my tv screen is a black screen, but when i enable it, the tv begins to make a noise, thats it... i cant seem to access the ati site properly does anyone know how to troubleshoot my tv problem in another way?
