I have an Ati x700 mobility in my laptop with svideo out. I hooked this up to my tv last night to watch a programme. The picture was reasonable, however it suffered from really bad tearing whenever there was movement.
Anyone any ideas why and how it could be fixed?

I asked if windows could do vsync on the desktop and in 2d ages ago and no one seemed to know but thats with nvidia, ati is better for tv out so check your settings if you haven't already and update drivers in need be.
 
thanks, for some reason I can't install the Catalyst 6.5 drivers, it says something about an INF error and adapter not found or something like that.
Anyway, I've had a play with some settings and by using NTSC and an overlay it cured it, don't know which one of those fixed it but i'll try more later.
