Wow I never knew my family was that stupid, my parents have been watching some ****** channel called dm digital TV and they have some call in thingy at £1.50:eek: a minute!

and they actually called and texted in!!! what a con!!!!

I never knew my parents were that stupid, I thought they were actually smart and avoid falling into this kind of crap!!
They have proved me wrong today....

I spent a small fortune on one of those stupid quiz phone in efforts while a tad drunk. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but I was slightly less amused when paying my phone bill. With my daftness in mind, I can't really slate those who make the occasional call or text in the hope of winning something. What I really don't understand are the millions of pop idol spin offs where people vote multiple times at an extortionate rate, usually not related to who they are voting for, and they win nowt for their troubles.

What was the purpose of the show / channel exactly? Was there a promise of riches for your single call, or was it something else?

oh, it wasnt to win anything!
it was just a disussion!

Doh! that seems a tad daft then:p

I used to listen to talk radio. For quite a while they had a freephone number so folk could air their views at no cost. Seemed a good idea, but I assume it must have cost the station a pretty penny to run. With Internet forums and real life friends (OMG) I couldn't see me calling up any sort of premium discussion line / show, unless Amy, 22 from Bristol is telling me what she's wearing.

yep all part of the mind. They have a discussion and then eventually you get so sucked in that u find that you have a strong opinoin on a comment and ypu end up phoning/txting.

This is why i like podcasts and stuff because it is all email (gervais) all free :).

I have callled a couple of radio stations in the past, it was an 0845 number and they ring you back when they put you on air when you are ready to go on.

Is it possible to block a specific channel of sky not using the age limiter thingy?

I like the phone in quizzes where you have to add the numbers but it is probably impossible because you might have to add literally all the numbers including the question numbers and the word 'number' or something completely stupid lol
