Looking at getting a new tv for the lounge as we’ve moved into a new house and our 40 inch doesn’t cut the mustard anymore.

Looking at getting a 55 inch for Xbox gaming, occasional movies and probably its main use will be the daughter having cartoons on.

Would this be a good option at £1059? Or should I be looking in another direction?

Better to take a Panasonic TX55FZ802B https://www.richersounds.com/pana-tx55fz802b.html

Thanks gents, I've had a look for the q7 and can't see any hanging around anywhere. I'll have a read into the LG and Panny OLEDS posted up, is the burn in as bigger issue as its made out to be?

I think budget wise I'd probably want to go to about £1200 I think.

Thanks all.

Has it now moved from don't game for 12+ hours with the same screen on an OLED to, don't game on them at all?

Personally having owned several plasmas 4 in total, I would say it depends on how much varied content you watch.

Anything that is more than 30% gaming use I'd avoid oled for now. If you only game for 1-2 hours once or twice a week and use for TV mainly then no issues.

Well i've had my C7 for almost 2 years and have been gaming on it, and its primarily used as my windows desktop and i've been lucky enough not to be afflicted with burn in. But according to the OP, some games, occasional movie but mostly daughters cartoons so surely in this situation the OLED is the most suitable?
