Im trying to use my tv as a secondary display on my computer and its not working.

I have googled for the answer, read many forums, have read the how to guides on the ATI website among others; it should be quite simple but for some reason it does not seem to work as it should..

My tv has a S-video socket so I have connected that to the S-video TV out on my x1950pro.
My video card does seem to be recognizing the tv because when i plug it in and press the detect displays button in the displays manager of my Catalyst Control Center a tv icon appears in the "Attached displays currently disabled" box.
From their I gather im supposed to right click on that tv icon and a pop up menu is supposed to appear allowing me to select the desired desktop mode. However, when i right click it i dont get that popup menu, nothing happens. Also if i try to right-click the greyed out number 2 display icon in the right-hand box and click Enable in the pop-up menu, it will try to enable, the screen will refresh and it will be greyed out again.
When i was playing around with the displays manager at one point i dragged the tv icon in the "Attached displays currently disabled" box onto the monitor icon in the "Main" displays box and i got the option to switch displays. This did actually make my tv work as the main display, however it was in black and white, and it meant that my monitor was disabled instead, so it was kind of pointless...
I should note that I have tried doing this with the latest drivers and CCC version, I'm running XP and the X1950pro is AGP.

Any suggestions welcome
Thanks

Got it working!!

My graphics card has 2 x DVI output ports plus the S-Video output.
My LCD monitor was connected to the DVI port (via a VGA to DVI adaptor) on the right side (when viewed from the back of the computer). I switched the monitor to the left side - make sure your computer is off before you switch.
On start up the new hardware wizard installed my monitor again - but then it also found new hardware - my TV!. I followed the install instructions and then went through the same things as yesterday - but this time it worked no problem. switched on the tv and theres my desktop image cloned!
crazy but brilliant
