Hi all

I've got a Wharfedale Diamond 10.CS centre, which is 20cm tall and I'm finding it very hard to find a suitable TV stand to accommodate it on the upper shelf (not on the top surface).

I'm currently perching my centre on the top of a cheapo glass stand and my TV is mounted on the wall. However I'm looking for a better-looking solution and smarter / classier looking TV stand.

Any recommendations please? Budget is c.£500, I can be flexible for something good!

At this rate I'm tempted to try and build my own (which could end badly).

Cheers.

Cheers guys.

That eatsleeplive looks good, could possibly have a crack at that style myself, love the rustic style though.

BDI stuff looks lovely, but incredibly I couldn't find a single unit with a top shelf tall enough for a centre speaker.

Nice. Good price, I was hoping for something with wood though.

I bought one from Richer Sounds - http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv-stands/ttap/elegance-1200/ttap-elegance-1200.

TTAP Elegance 1200.

Excuse the mess and poor picture, gives you an idea.

Brilliant, thanks for posting that. It looks ideal at first glance. Is there any chance you could let me know the height of the section your centre speaker is in please?

I'd still aim for a cantilever style stand, this will ensure you have plenty of room for a centre and your equipment.

Perhaps something like this?

Not sure what that gets me over my current arrangement of the tv bolted to the wall really, in fact I think TV on the wall looks neater tbh. I'll take a pic of my setup later to put it in context.

It's 166mm. There's at least 20mm of clearance left according to my untrained eye. Will measure it tomorrow if you need.

Very happy with the stand and price, build quality is great too.

If you could let me know the precise total vertical space available on the upper shelf please, that would be much appreciated. It looks like a good option all things considered.

Thanks for the rest of the replies. Custom or self-built is a tempting option, just need to find a style I like.

I suppose I could always sell my centre for one that will fit in a shorter gap!
