thinking about using a modern tv in place of a monitor, dont want to go silly expensive or silly big so no big screen and no oled unfortunately,

anyone doing this? hows your experience, and would anyone cre to make a recommendation?

have a right thing for philips ambilight having an oled in the living room which is sublime when hooked up to the pc but i'm looking for a cheaper alternative for the office.

I don't use one but if I was going to get a TV for that price to use with my pc I'd get either the Sony xf9005 or xg9005 as they do pretty good hdr at just short of a 1000nits about 980nits peak for the xf, and have full-array back light's.

The 49xf9005 mite be harder to find now but should be cheaper as you can get the 55xf9005 for £749 but I know you can get the 49xg9005 for about £799.
