Is there any other option as opposed to a pci / pci e card.

I want to get rid of my tv from my room and watch tv on my pc.

Obviously a tuner card is the ideal solution.

However, i have a watercooled pc. Heres a crap diagram below:

Rad with air being sucked through and then up into my case, blowing onto my graphics card.

Basically, i wanted to know if i can avoid using a card as it will block the airflow that comes out of my radiator and blows onto the graphics card.

If there is no other solution, are there any small pcb cards (prefer pci as tubing is in the way of pci e)

Yep, USB ones. You can get ones with twin tuners too which is good for recording one thing whilst watching another. I'd like one myself. I believe Pinnacle ones are supposed to be good but I haven't looked into it closely. Some also come with remotes which is pretty useful.

ah nice, wasnt sure if usb ones existed.

is there any advantages / disadvantages to either usb or pci / pci e? or are they pretty much the same.

Had a quick look at the pinnacle ones, looks like just the ticket.

I just got a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD USB which is a pretty good card with twin tuners just don't use the wintv software as it's crap, use something like dvbviewer but will cost about £12 but well worth it

just use the drivers from cd and only install the Diversity Tool software to run in dual tuner mode
