Im thinking of buying my girlfriend a USB TV tuner for christmas and would like some reccomendations as to what is the best one out there.

I have had a look at the three below and they seem reasonably what i am looking for so would like some reccomendations as to which of the three to go for.

Compro VideoMate U3 DVB-T Stick Digital TV Tuner - Retail

Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T Freeview TV Stick

Leadtek Winfast DTV-Dongle Digital TV USB2.0 Tuner

At the moment i am erring towards the leadtek, mainly due to the fact it has the best software for viewing, and thats why im a little iffy about the hauppauge, the software being carp. (I have experience with both as I have both a hauppauge and leadtek internal card of my own). I have no idea how good the compro software is.

What one has the best reception and is easiest to use and set up, I assume they have a hole in the backs where you just plug in the ariel cable?

So any reccomendations? :)

Thanks

I'd like to know too do the dongles come with a software to record live TV onto your HDD ? is there a arial splitter available cuz I would still want to use my TV

They all come with software to do that but if they are anything like the internal ones the leadtek software is by far the best compared to the hauppauge stuff. Its dreadful!! :(

 Hi,

I use a kworld dongle which picks-up Dig & Anlog TV and it works fine for me :D and yes it comes with the software so that you can record programs onto your H/D.

The only thing is that OcUk dont do kWorld, so you may need 2 read some reviews on the ones that they sell and then make your mind-up on which one 2 buy. ;)
