TV Tuner not picking up any channels in WMC

I spent the weekend building a HTPC system with the following spec;

Antec Fusion 430 case
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
Phenom X4 9850
Samsung F1 1TB
AverTV Duo Hybrid PCI-E
Vista 32bit

I have everything working fine except I cannot set-up the TV to work in Windows Media Centre. I go through the process of setting up the TV tuner but when it scans for TV channels, nothing is picked up.

I have been using my Sony TV as the digital tuner previously to receive Freeview and there have been no problems with this.

Any suggestions? Where should I start to investigate?

I assume your tv card has vista drivers? Does the bundled software pick up a signal/channels?
If so, then so you know its something to do with VMCE and your card.
Sorry, i can't help much more, but process of elimination is a good place to start.

btw, good choice of mobo, i have one in my htpc and they are brill.

Yeah, I tried this but had problems with the software as it kept crashing. I'll try again tonight but it's difficult trying to get a few hours during the week to concentrate on it.

See if theres a software update on the manufacturers website maybe.?

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the advice. Just to let you know that I bought a signal booster/splitter yesterday and tried both tuners at the same time.

It's now working fine, so not sure if this is the booster or split into both tuners, but it works so that's all that matters.
