Tv viewing distance.

My 49 inch LG TV needs replacing and I was looking at going up to a 55 inch. My lounge is long but narrow so cant get any further away. My head will be 2.20m from the the screen. Does the that distance seem OK.
The only other option for and old is dropping down to 48 inch.

I've got a 65" TV and sit about 2.2m away from it, you get used to it.

Viewing distance should be around 1.5 -2.5 screen size.

So you'll be fine at 2.2m with a 55" TV.

My living room's a decent size but the layout puts my head pretty much exactly 2.2m from a 55" screen. If gaming or watching a movie I often chuck a beanbag in front of the sofa so I'm closer.

For general mixed viewing a 55" will be fine, for mainly movies a 65" would be perfect.
