Hi All,

I am looking to mount my TV above a Non functional fireplace (brick).

Bit confusing as so many people say spend more and some say just get a £20-50) job.

Is there any justification in spending more money on a wall bracket? I am looking for something that extends away from the wall, up, down, left and right, think its called a Cantilever.

Is it worth getting something like this and spending that amount of money?

Currently I have a Panasonic 42", weighs about 30kg

Option 1 - This one dosnt say Cantilever but does say Pushes In+Out, Tilts Up+Down,Swivels Left+Right, it also mentions cable management where the others do not, so not sure if they actually have cable management or not.
Option 2 - Dosnt mention cable management, not sure if it is was just left out in the decription?
Option 3 - Dosnt mention cable management, not sure if it is was just left out in the decription?

Last one is about £10 more but leaves room for a bigger TV if I upgrade.

Thanks

Wow, those are some pricey TV brackets, but it does look pretty solid. Especially, in comparison to something I bought this weekend, a TV Stand with bracket/mount for TVs upto 50", TV is about 25-30 from the first/top shelf.

Wow, they are really pricey!!!

I used one from Amazon (Invision® TV Wall Mount Bracket - New Slim Line Design With Cantilever Arm Tilt & Swivel Feature For 26 - 55 inch TV Screens) which cost me £26 for my 42inch Panasonic Plasma and it's perfect!!

Only thing I did do was ditch the fixings that came with it and got some decent coach bolts from Wickes to secure it to the wall.

Is this the one you got?

which Panasonic Plasma do you have? i have the TH-42PZ80B, do you know if this will fit?

How did you find mounting it? easy?

I've got a TH-42PX80B adn recently got this, as above tho I replaced the wall fixings with larger ones. Also used a few more fixings than it states in the leaflet. Think I did 4 along the top and 4 along the bottom

If a grown man can hang on it without it moving/pulling out then I'm sure the TV will be fine :)

I'm still looking at upgrading to a 60" TV and as long as the VESA brackets fit the new TV I'll happily continue using this mount.

Unless you want something with more movement I have no qualms recommending this cheap n cheerful chappy :)

Thanks ~Divine~Wind~ - I did think about this type but decided I wanted something with more movement, side to side and tilt forward\back etc

valve90210,

what TV model do you have, Just having a look at mine ( TH-42PZ80B) and i think the back bracket mounting holes are about 660(W) x 450(H), well, this is what it looks like according to one of the bracket recommendations in the manual. this is a link to one of their brackets

So If i get this one LINK Im guessing it wont fit?

Oh, and this is the manual for my TV.

Sorry, I completely forgot about the this thread, my tv is a 42X10, so a few years old now but I didn't have any problems with the mount, there were loads of holes for all sorts of different configurations of mounting holes I can't say for sure if it'll fit yours but was fine with mine.

It's a really well made bracket, and offers a good range of movement and adjustment

On the pic of the extending arm bracket I have, the two pieces that attach to the tv, they are actually separate pieces that detach from the back plate of the mount and I believe can also mount sideways so it might be possible, though as you say your mounting points are rather further apart than mine
