Ok, i'm trying to watch a divx file on my 360 streamed from my laptop(connected with a wire), i have configured it using this guide here:

http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/Xbox_360_DivX_XviD_Playback_Guide_page4.html

and basically i can't get it to show my computer on my xbox(the TVersity server), although i can see my PC name.

When i click on my pc name(i'm guessing this is the WMP method) it just says connecting...and then chucks up some error about a firewall.

how can i fix this?

I've been getting this intermittently since the latest upgrade to TVersity, what I find is when I load TVersity on the status screen theres no devices shown, not even other PCs on the network.

A Restart of TVerstiy normally fixes this, but its getting to be a major annoyance. Also when you've exited the program sometimes mediaserver.exe is still running and you'll need to manually end the process.

I will note tho that Im conencting via a router not a direct ethernet cable that you seem to be.

I've never looked thru any guides as TVersity seemed to be plug and play effectively, will give that guide a look thru tho.

tried the restart, still doesnt work, i have done all the firewall rules as well but all that comes up is XXX-PC and i cannot access that.

I can't seem to get it working. Now on my Xbox it shows nothing apart from Video library and Computer, the server is running...

got no idea what to do!

My Xbox > My Videos > Source should read as TVersity on "PCNAME"
Folders > Your media
You dont use the media player section with TVersity.

Just checking yer int he right place ;)

yup, nothing comes up when i go there.

All i see is Computer and a bunch of stuff telling me how i can connect to my PC. :(
