TVersity streaming and sluggish pc

HI Forum.

Whats making my pc sluggish when streaming to ps3

1156 asus Max formula three
streaming from USB 3.0 external drive
2.80 cpu overclocked to 3.4
4gb ddr 3

Cheers the options i have is transcode if needed or never or always

im set to only when needed

Task manager does not show much in the way of tversity
