Anyone use it here? I know for encoding for devices if you are going on holiday and what not, then things like Handbrake or Vidcoder are ideal, but I have a Philips (not so SMART) TV in the bedroom that is picky about playing MKV streamed directly from the PC. There's video, but no audio, and that is because of the surround channel which it can't decode, so it doesn't play anything.
Basically, if I Handbrake the file down to stereo (retaining it as MKV) it will play on the TV, audio and sound, just fine. However, in some cases, the rips have been unsuccessful and cause hangs on the PC when trying to watch them back normally.
See, it would be nice to keep the original MKV file container with full audio tracks for when watching on the lounge PC that does have surround sound, so, onto my question, would TVersity be a good option for streaming to the Philips TV in the bedroom, as it says it can transcode on the fly, etc
Thanks
