How easy are lcd tv's to use instead of a monitor...

Quite tempted by the price of some 27"-30" models that output at 1920x1200. But I imagine them being less practical than a dedicated monitor, e.g. 3007.

dot pitch will be significantly lower. Afaik there are none which output 1920x1200, this is a 16:10 ratio. Widescreen TV's are 16:9 (1920x1080), and I don't know any 1080p TV's in these smaller sizes.

Anyway that aside, a 3007WFP will have just under double the pixel density of an equivalent 30" 1080 TV, i.e. you are going to want to sit back, way back.

Me bad - I meant 1920x1080.

3007 it is then! OUCH!

Yeah currently 1080p sets start at 37" which would probably be overwhelming to use at normal PC viewing distance (2 ft) because of the size and could look quite pixelated because of the pixel size. Apparently there will be some 32" 1080p sets eventually.
