TVs high on walls

I haven't read the thread but i do like my TV. I like to watch sport mainly and programmes about nature. Other than that not interested. I have a cinema subscription and i like to watch movies on my own there as I have a small child and if i can get 2-3 hours away i'm winning.

My point is I could not have a TV smaller than 55inches today and it must be at the perfect height.

I went to a mates house at xmas and we were all stretching our necks. The issue was he has a small house and he decided to stick it above the fireplace. I told him he might as well rip it down as i'll never watch that TV again. I said it in a lovely way mind.
This is what I’m talking about! People in small houses with TVs far too big, better suited for large 4-5 bedroom homes.

This is definitely one of my pet peeves.

Sister has just bought her first house and has her TV mounted above a faux fireplace, bottom of TV is probably 1.5m off the ground with the sofa only 2m away.

You sit there and get a sore neck after 15 mins.

Called her a chav dw guys.
Give her a neck brace for her birthday

To note some of these newer larger TVs don't even come with stand mounts and come with wall brackets only.
You don’t have to use the stand/bracket supplied with the tv. I bought a stand for my new tv (actually it was my grandmother’s) and purchased a new stand for £18 on Amazon. As the supplied stand splayed out at the back too wide for my soundboard.
