There's an outside choice I'll pick up a new tv to replace my ancient plasma gt30

I'd like something like Qd-oled.

Previously I was thinking of s95b as only one in price range.

Is there anything else (ie sony?) that may fall into an acceptable price range I should look for?

Sony has only just released their flagship set so that won’t be dropping anywhere reasonable yet.

If you aren’t dead set on QD-OLED I’d look out for LG G3 deals, they have closed the gap considerably in areas that QD-OLED did better last year.

I'd like to stick to Qd-oled.

From reviews it seems like it is just plain better than oled.

Samsung have s90c apparently that seems to get high praise.

Anyone have this?

Like I said the G3 has caught up massively in terms of brightness, colour volume etc.

Look at the reviews of the new Sony that compare it to the G3, none are saying the Sony is vastly better especially not at a far higher price.

I was going to say.. Yeah they look really similar but I prefer the s90c.

I assumed the g3 was thus the cheaper...

It very much is not!
I think that crosses that off the list.

Looking at richer sounds.

G3 65= 2300
S90C 65 = 1500 + hwq600c + 6 months of D+ subscription

Probably over 1k more selling the sound bar. Crazy!

Found some voucher codes and now i'm down to this, and that's before the cashback of 150 in Feb 24.

Gonna go to the shop tomorrow to see it in person first, just to make sure the stand and colour variation aren't an issue, before buying online. I can't seem to find reliable photos online comparing S90/S92/S93, unless anyone can help.

Buckled in the end. Bought it at the above price. If it falls lower come Friday, so be it. Hopefully it will arrive before Friday.

I only have a PS5 and the usual Streaming services, but it's still gonna be a huge upgrade over an LG55C7 with copious amounts of screen burn :p

Didn't come down that far here.
If it did I would have bit.

But it's been an expensive month!

It went even lower here, I got 1225 after cashback, 3 days later it became 1075 after cashback. Lg C3 65 also dropped to 1100.

Anyway it's all setup now and a huge upgrade!

I just have to wait a few days for Google to stop showing me TV adverts!

Any joy in the end?

I got a 55inch Samsung s90c oled for £1200 which included a £700 sound bar which I though was a good deal plus it included £100 cashback from Samsung

I got the s90c this week and it’s excellent specially for the money

I went for the S95C 77" which came with free soundbar RRP £699 + £ 300 Cashback from Samsung. Have to say the TV is absolutely fantastic. In the end it cost me £2800 after all offers which I don't think is bad for 77" !
